Jenny Hits the Jackpot
By Lori J. Gordon
The idea for Jenny hits the Jackpot came to me when I was at an Indian Casino in Grand Ronde Oregon with my best friend. We had been recently informed that our employer was closing its doors and we were about to be unemployed. So, sitting at a slot machine named Hearts of Gold, my writer’s imagination took over and I began to plot a story of revenge.
I told my friend and she laughed so hard tears streamed from her cheeks. Then she said, “You have to do this one.”
It took me a year and a half to write Jenny hits the Jackpot (Which was originally titled just Jackpot) but I think it is my best. Maybe it means more to me because it was written for my friends and family of the late Longs Drugs Stores Of course it is only fiction. (No one jumped out of a slot machine to save us) The one great thing about being a Writer is being able to make a happily-ever-after out of something that definitely did not end that way.
I hope you enjoy reading Jenny Hits the Jackpot as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Jenny Hits the Jackpot
Official Blurb: Celebrating his latest success with a trip to Las Vegas, Business Tycoon Tyler Wells is in for the shock of his life. Electrocuted by a slot machine, he finds himself suspended between life and death, facing the man who holds the key between Heaven and Hell. To save his soul, Tyler will be sent on a mission to prevent a woman from taking her own life–a woman he has wronged in the past.
When her husband left her for another woman, Jenny Spencer was heartbroken. When her employer told her they were closing their doors for good, she was frustrated. But learning the man she’d fallen in love with was responsible for her employer’s demise leaves her devastated.
Will Tyler see the error of his ways in time to win back the woman he loves or will his pride condemn them both?
Excerpt From Jenny Hits the Jackpot.
“Oh my god! I can’t believe we just had sex in Kate’s guest room.”
Tyler lazily patted her bare butt. “We made love, Jenny. I love you. Shall I show you again?”
Jenny laughed until she found herself under him. She lifted her hands and fisted them in his hair. “Tyler,” it came out on a moan when he slipped inside of her.
Tyler kissed her deeply. “Say it Jenny.”
Drugged by the kiss she was confused. What did he want her to say? “What?”
“You love me.” His breath was warm on her ear. “I know you do. Say the words and everything will be okay.”
“It’s not that…simple.”
Tyler increased his rhythm, never taking his eyes off hers. “It’s this simple,” he growled before coming.
His words, along with his release, sent shivers through her. Could it really be this simple? She wondered as she followed him over the edge.

I’m also pleased to announce that to announce Rebel Ink Press agreed to print my YA trilogy, a Space Opera, I wrote five years ago. I signed the contract and Book one, Black Night, will be released early 2013. It will be followed by Castle of Doom and ends with Lost Night / Beginnings.
Now I need to work on the promotional side. (I’m open to any ideas any of you may have.)
