Blurb: Love’s Encore by Kathleen Ann Gallagher

Desire wins the lead role.

Sadie Layne, a creative and motivated high school drama teacher, is grateful for second chances. After surviving breast cancer, she embarks on a celebratory trip to LA with her two best friends. Sadie never expected to run into the handsome and charming Vince De Carlo in the hotel lobby. She hasn’t seen Vince much since they worked together in a theater company years ago. Their meeting interrupts her plans and reminds her of the life she left behind.

Vince, a struggling actor and cover model, is in LA to promote a television pilot. His old attraction to Sadie is stronger than ever. He never forgot her, even though a trusted friendship and a scripted kiss was all they’d shared.

The reunited pair give in to temptation, but reality soon collides with lust as strong doubts about their blossoming romance get in the way. Sadie dreads facing her defeat as an actress, and Vince doesn’t think a struggling actor like himself is capable of providing the accomplished teacher with what she deserves.

Will the couple find a way to keep their sizzling romance alive and build a future together? Or will their uncertainty win the lead role and smother the flames?

Arriving at the station-forty five minutes late had his partner, Brandon Matthews, rolling his eyes at Joe. “I thought maybe you decided to skip out on me today.”

“I had some…business this morning.”     Joe snarled.

Brandon smirked. “Oh yeah, I’ve seen your wife.”

Not now,” Joe growled.

“Anything I can do to help?”

Joe managed a smile. “Maybe. I’ll let ya know. What’s up for today?”

Brandon and Joe had been partners for nearly six years and were friends outside the job as well. Brandon was Joe’s best man and Joe and Marie had been there for him during his ugly divorce last year. Brandon would do anything for Joe or Marie, just as he knew they’d do anything for him.

Brandon ran through the workload then gestured at the list. “If you need some time off, I can handle this stuff myself.”

Joe shook his head. “Appreciate it but the work will do me good. Give me a few minutes to make a call before we get started.”

“Sure,” Brandon rose from his desk. “Coffee?”

The phone against his ear, Joe nodded.

“Everything okay?” Brandon asked when he returned with the coffee.

“I hope so,” Joe drank deeply from his cup. “You have any plans tonight?”

“Just the usual,” Brandon flashed his famous grin. “Frozen dinner and a DVD with Potato.”

Joe shook his head. “A dog named Potato isn’t a life. If I offer to grill you a real steak, could you come by the house later?”

Brandon wrinkled his nose as if he wouldn’t consider it. “I don’t know,” he drawled. “Potato might get jealous.”

“Bring him with you. You know how much Marie loves to spoil that mutt.”

“Sure, yeah okay.” Brandon accepted, knowing the offer was a call for help rather than a friendly invitation to dinner. “What time?”

Joe checked his watch. “We have to pick up Marie’s sister from JFK at six-thirty. Eight work for you?”

“Hold on just a minute!” Brandon shook his finger at Joe. “I told you before, no more blind dates.”

Joe held out his hands in a gesture of truce. “Trust me. I would never, ever set you up with Kari.”

Brandon feigned offence. “Oh, I see. I’m not good enough for your wife’s sister?”

Joe grinned with amusement before frowning. “You’re way too good. I don’t want to see you hurt again. Kari could hurt you.”

Meet Kathryn Robson

Today I’m proud to introduce my fellow Rebel, Kathryn Robson, author of Golden

Here’s a bit about her new release.

When everything you know about the world to be true is a lie.
When the monster under the bed is suddenly staring back at you in the mirror.
Who do you save and who do you kill?
Today is the day.
It’s Amy’s 18th birthday.
Her bags are packed and she’s ready to leave. A quick dash to collect her grandfather’s trust fund and she’s out of here. More importantly, she’s out of reach of her abusive stepfather’s filthy hands. But Andras has other plans and soon Amy finds herself in a whole new world of trouble. As she races to find out the truth about herself, she’s confronted with one certainty…
She’s the only person standing between the Demons she fled from and the boy she loves.
Until she finds out she may be harbouring the scariest monster of them all

“Bye, and thanks for breakfast.” I called after him, while already searching for my keys in my bag.
I could hear his footsteps as he walked away, then they stopped and came back. I glanced up from fiddling in my bag to see him studying me, a look on his face as if he had just decided something he wasn’t too sure about.
“The people don’t move away from you because they are polite.”
His eyes again, where pulling mine in, like sinking, more intense than before making my heart beat faster. Involuntarily I took a step closer, almost touching him. Something so out of character for me I was shocked at my own reaction to him. I forced my eyes away and looked down.
“Amy,” his voice sounded a bit unsteady.
“They move away because they were born with the common sense to be scared of you,”
and in a lighter tone he added, “and of course because your eyes glow in the dark!”
My heart stopped, words already formed got stuck in my throat and I looked up.
But he was gone.
I fumbled my keys in the lock and rushed up the stairs to my room. I dropped my bag on the floor, conscious not to turn the lights on. I went straight to the mirror above my chest of drawers and looked into a pair of brightly glowing eyes.
A strangers eyes.
My eyes.

I’m giving away a copy of my favorite e-book, Jenny Hits the Jackpot.

You can find the answer to my question in the excerpt below!

Excerpt From Jenny Hit’s the Jackpot

This fateful night, feeling high on success—and whiskey—Tyler decided it was time his current squeeze earned her trip. Finding her seated at what he considered one of the girly slot machines, he leaned over and nipped her earlobe. “I want you. Now!”

She took her eyes off the game long enough to pout. “But I’m winning. And it’s still early. Can’t we stay just a little bit longer?”

Tyler leaned over her shoulder and hit the cash-out button. “No,” he said. “We can’t.”

Tyler lifted her off the stool and pressed his lips to hers. “Playing with me gives you much better odds of hitting the big one,” he murmured while reaching over to retrieve her ticket.

As soon as his fingers made contact with the paper, a shock ripped through him from head to toe. “What the….”

The next thing he knew, Tyler found himself sitting in the middle of a cold, white tiled, room softly moaning in pain. A first aid office? He felt a tingling sensation and couldn’t stop the tremors wracking his entire body. Holding his hand in front of his face, he slowly wiggled his numb fingers. At least I’m not dead.

“Are you sure about that?” A deep voice buzzed in his ears.

Tyler bolted to his feet. “Who said that?” Disoriented and dizzy, he leaned against the wall to keep from falling. Fighting the urge to vomit, he turned a circle. “Who’s here?” he demanded only to find himself alone inside the imprisoning walls.

It seemed he’d landed in the middle of a really weird dream. He didn’t remember going to bed. He’d been drinking heavily, though. What other explanation could there be? Looking up at the ceiling, Tyler decided there must be a speaker somewhere in the sterile room. Seeing nothing, he called out again, “Who’s there? Where are you?” He ran his fingers through his spiky black hair. “And where the hell am I?”

The voice boomed out. “Go to the wall on your left.”

Cautiously, Tyler walked towards the opposite wall. Stopping a few feet in front of it, he stood watching as solid drywall dissolved into a window overlooking the casino.

“Go ahead,” the voice startled him. “Take a closer look.”

Tyler forced himself to move up to the glass. “No…” He jumped when a hand dropped on his shoulder. Turning he found himself face to face with a tall, lean, man. An older man, with jet black hair like his own and eyes red as blood, glowed like a stoplight. Staring into those hypnotic eyes, Tyler realized he was in trouble. “Who are you,” he demanded.

Saying nothing, the man gently turned Tyler back towards the window. Praying he would wake up, Tyler watched the paramedic’s frantically working on the man lying on Harrah’s floor. He swallowed hard when he recognized the body. His body.

Kneeling beside his body double, yelling his name between sobs, was his date. Pretty good actress.

Hotel security and the Las Vegas Police formed a circle around his body, keeping curious gamblers back.

Dreading the answer, Tyler whispered, “What happened to me?”

Revelations from Past-medium

***** Format: Kindle Edition

Once I started reading Revelations from the Past, I could NOT put it down. The suspense to find out what was going to happen kept my pulse racing. The chemistry between Lisa and Colby from the moment they met, had me wishing I was Lisa. LOL. I totally lost myself in the story. My television got ignored and my dinner went cold because I just could not put it down. I have already recommended the book to my sister, who is an avid reader. I can’t wait to see what she thinks of it. Definitely deserves 5 stars!!!!
